Birds and Birdhouse Building

We wondered last September if we would see more bird activity on a cloudy day than on a sunny day. We spent a month talking with WeatherBlur scientists and deciding how best to define  a cloudy day and measure bird activity. We collected data through the fall and early winter and graphed  our findings on TUVA.  During that time, we learned so much about birds, local and exotic, flight, feathers, bird feeding and bird nesting. Our ACT was to build fifty birdhouses and give them to grandparents, neighbors,, and the local nursing home. The weekly paper The Island Advantages ran a full page article about our efforts.
